Each of our garments are supported by strong design experience and expertise, thereby maintaining our reputation as innovators in this critical area of clothing. Quality has always been the foremost priority and today, every phase of production is supported by stringent quality controls in a modern manufacturing environment.

The CLEAN ROOM PRODUCTS range of non linting fabrics have been specially developed by international experts, for clean room and sterile area use with various styles of garments suitable for the various classes of cleanroom, from Class1 to Class 100 000 critical areas. Garments are made from 100% clean room polyester and have a silky finish, whilst the microfibre yarns are densely woven so as to create a barrier which is impermeable to particulates whilst allowing body-cooling moisture vapour. An Anti-static grid of carbon thread interwoven with the fabric avoids static sparking or voltage surges and creates a light magnetic field around the wearer.

Our company is registered internationally with the S2C2 and is also linked to other similar international contamination control authorities so that we consistently strive to maintain our excellent quality and constant dedication to improving our products.

Clean Room Products  specialises in personal and efficient services and we would welcome your call to discuss your clean room, critical area or sterile area garmenting requirements. Thank you for the interest in our products. We look forward to being of further service and our catalogue can be e-mailed or airmailed directly on request.

Medical Garments in Barrier Fabrics
The primary function of the barrier fabric is to protect the surgeon from the patient. A barrier is something that hinders or restricts; in the case of medical garments for instance, it hinders or prevents the passage of blood borne pathogens from patient to the medical personnel in the immediate vicinity. The fabric therefore has to be resistant to the penetration of blood and aqueous fluids. Along with the critical requirements for liquid resistance, the garments have to also be comfortable and breathable.

Blood is the most common biological liquid which is encountered in he health care work environment. Every day, there are millions of healthcare workers who come into contact with blood. Blood borne pathogens such as Human Immuno-virusses (HIV's) and Hepatitis B S/HIV or Hepatitis, or who actually worked with or were accidentally exposed to the live virus in research activities.

Since clothing such as aprons and surgical gowns are the last defense for protection against blood contact, it has become necessary to provide healthcare workers with garments that will safeguard their health at all times. The level of protection that should be afforded by the garment depends on the level of risk. As not every member of a surgical team is exposed to the same level of risk, the garments protective capability is best expressed in terms of its level of resistance to liquid penetration. By rating garments (and fabrics) according to their resistance to liquid penetration, medical staff are able to select the quality considered appropriate for the risk involved. This is necessary as the healthcare community worldwide is experiencing intensive pressure to contain or reduce costs.

The requirements for a GOOD critical area garment is
• High level of permanent static dissipation.
• Lint free.
• Breathable and comfortable.
• Washable and Auto-cleavable.
• Seams sealed to international specification.
• Economical; long lasting and reusable.
• Non toxic and environmentally friendly.
• Stain resistant.
• High fluid repellency.
• Fabric and garments approved by international standard authority.
